
Dr. Leland received a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Biology from Georgetown University in 1996 and a Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in 2001.
While at Tufts, he achieved recognition on the Dean’s Honor Roll for his performance on both Parts I and II of the National Dental Board of Examination, and he also received the Tufts University Award for Citizenship and Public Service.
Dr. Leland has completed four levels of advanced training at the Pankey Institute, world renowned for its programs for motivated dentists to expand their knowledge in dentistry and their personal lives. Dr. Leland continues to develop and grow as a skilled dental practitioner through continuing education and training at the Institute.
Dr Leland has been recognized as a leader in organized dentistry. He has been honored as one of the “Ten Under 10” by the Massachusetts Dental Society. To qualify for this distinction, the honoree must have graduated from dental school within ten years of the award and have made a significant contribution to the profession, their community and organized dentistry.
Dr. Leland received the American Dental Association’s Golden Apple New Dentist Leadership Award in 2006. This national award is given annually to a dentist who graduated within ten years of receiving the award and has demonstrated outstanding leadership initiative in the dental profession.
On behalf of the ADA, Dr. Leland currently lectures to dental students throughout the country on the subject of transitioning from dental school to dental practice.
Dr. Leland currently serves on the Massachusetts Dental Society, Board of Trustees as well as the Board of the Massachusetts Dental Society Political Action Committee.
